Customizing inspection questions

Every equipment type ships with a sensible default checklist. If your procedures go further — a site-specific check, a reading to record — Administrators can tailor the questions under Inspections → Manage questions.

Question styles#

• Pass/Fail — the classic check; a Fail fails the inspection.
• Yes/No — for facts that are not pass/fail on their own.
• Number — record a reading (a gauge, a count).
• Selection — pick from options you define.
• Text — free-form observations.

Rules of the road#

• Mark questions required or optional — required ones block submission until answered.
• Changes apply to future inspections only. Completed records keep the exact questions they were answered against, so your audit trail stays honest.
• Question sets are per equipment type — the AED checklist and the extinguisher checklist live separately.
