Inspection schedules and due windows
How due dates are calculated and where to adjust the cadence.
On this page
Every equipment type has its own inspection cadence, made of two settings:
- The interval — how often the type must be inspected. Monthly is typical for AEDs and fire extinguishers; eyewash stations run weekly.
- The due-soon window — how many days before the due date a unit starts appearing on the Due tab, giving you runway.
Where due inspections appear#
- The Inspections page's Due tab — everything overdue or inside its window. Clear this tab and you are current.
- The dashboard (needs attention and upcoming), the calendar, and Alerts when something crosses into overdue.
Changing the cadence#
- Open Inspections → Manage schedule (Administrators).
- Set the interval and due-soon window per equipment type.
- Save — next-due dates recalculate from each unit's latest inspection.
Note: The due date is anchored to the latest recorded inspection, so recording on time keeps the cycle steady; recording late does not shorten your next cycle.
